DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (DPW)
The Department of Public Works is under the supervision of Superintendent Tom LeRoy. This department is responsible for the maintenance of City properties and equipment, the public streets, the parks, and the water/sewer system. There are six full time and two part time employees in the department.

The City of Parchment has 10.86 miles of streets, 16 miles of sidewalk, 400 traffic signs, and 12 traffic signals. The crews maintain 46 acres of parkland.

There are 15.8 miles of water main, and 10 miles of sewer main in the City of Parchment system.


PARKS
The City of Parchment is home to beautiful Kindleberger Park. Kindleberger Park was donated to the City by the Jacob Kindleberger family for the enjoyment of our citizens. The park is approximately forty acres and is located at the intersection of Park and Maple Streets. The park offers a four diamond Little League complex, two softball diamonds, two new playgrounds, three covered picnic pavilions, roller hockey court, tennis courts, paved walking paths and a beautiful sunken formal garden complete with a gazebo. The garden is used for many weddings during the summer and can be reserved by calling City Hall at (269)349-3785. The appropriate reservation form is also located on the forms page.
